What are the benefits of Moisture Barrier?

- Prevents moisture migration through building elements, protecting insulation and home

- Reduces the risk of mould and mildew development in wall and floor cavities

- Reduces humidity levels in the home, creating healthier living conditions

- Install over exposed ground in the subfloor of homes with suspended timber floors where moisture migration needs to be controlled

- Install when there are signs of rising damp on the ground in the homes subfloor area - typically dark sticky soil or even damp and moldy soil

- Install is compulsory in all NZ rental properties under the Healthy Homes Standards

- Use 250 micron polyethylene sheet which typically comes in 100m2 rolls

- Use appropriate tape and pins to fix it in place
